Little Green House offers half-day and full-day programmes for children of ages 18 months to 6 years old

Since 2005, Little Green House’s award winning curriculum model, voted Singapore’s “Best Literacy Programme” for consecutive years, has consistently provided a trusted, safe and nurturing environment with a well-rounded curriculum that equips children with the right knowledge, skills and attitudes – thereby preparing for their future journey in primary school.

The Growth Journey of a Literacy SMARTTM Kid

At Little Green House, we offer diverse learning journeys for children across age groups, fostering age-appropriate, engaging approaches that spark curiosity, nurture a love for learning, and cultivate essential skills, habits and knowledge in their early years.

Stage 1: Little Seed

Children who are turning 18 months and up to 2 years old

Children of this stage are affectionately called ‘Little Seeds’ in our program. Our approach in this level is a creative and literacy-rich environment where children engage in stories, art, music, rhymes, dance, games, daily book readings and conversational activities. They greatly benefit from our award-winning Literacy SMARTTM curriculum by becoming emergent listeners, budding speakers and develop early letter recognition and phonics awareness. In addition, all pre-nursery children will be exposed to a selection of books from a good range of titles from our reading corner at regular cycles.

Stage 2: Little Sprouts

Children who are turning 3 years old

As a Little Sprout, your child will embark on a beginner level bilingual thematic based programme such as Language & Communication Skills, Numeracy, Reading Passport, Pre-Writing Skills, Fine and Gross Motor Fun to hone their listening, speaking, letter recognition and tracing skills.

Stage 3: Little Saplings

Children who are turning 4 years old

At the 3rd stage of their Growth Journey in Little Green House, Little Saplings will delve deeper into the Literacy SMARTTM Programmes with Star Phonics Junior and Reading Passport, which gradually builds a broader understanding in employing the Alphabetic principle to enhance literacy and language skills.

Stage 4: Little Plant

Children who are turning 5 years old

As a Little Plant, children are placed on the path towards excelling in both English and a Mother Tongue Language – they will receive reading passports to reflect on books, begin participating in SMART Challenges such as spelling bee and show and tell sessions to build confidence and competence in showcasing their literacy level and public speaking developments.

Stage 5: Little Bloomer

Children who are turning 6 years old

By the tender age of 6, Little Bloomers display better social skills and language proficiency in both English and a Mother Tongue languages. Our Literacy SMARTTM curriculum provides a reading passport for reflections on diverse book titles, along with spelling challenges, themed public-speaking exercises to further support and enhance their reading, writing and speaking abilities to prepare them for Primary School Education.
